We Deal In Pips

The gentle autumn winds wisp eerily across the blades of grass which litter the Earldom of Bernpyle. Wise and resilient mice scurry to and fro preparing for the ensuing winter on the horizon. Brave adventures wander home from the far reaches of the Thistle Kingdom, Mayfield, The Rittermarch and beyond. Two such mouse explores gather their supplies along a creeks edge when a door appears in the shallow trickle of the stream.

A towering messa, a red sun, a scent of dry dust wafts forth. A then, from seemingly out of nowhere, a man emerges. Standing nearly seven inches tall, this wanderer towers over the mice. He says to them, “I am a GUNSLINGER, we deal in lead.”

The brave mouse responds, "I am a Mausritter, and WE DEAL IN PIPS!"

The beauty of these two wonderful games in that they are both built on the chassis of Into the Odd by Chris McDowall and thus, they are almost compatible out of the gate. For General Guidelines for Conversions see Appendix II: Converting Adventures on page 80 of We Deal In Lead from By Odin’s Beard RPG. Follow these simple guidelines and your game should run smoothly. 

The compatibility goes both ways too, adventurous mice could step through a Slip Door into The Drifted World. For this just reverse the process and enjoy.
