Price of Desire

The Earl of Bernpyle has sent you to investigate why his son has not returned home from one of the border watchtowers. 

Unbeknownst, A week ago a Squirrel treasure hunter broke into a crypt in the Clearcut Cemetery finding an Ancient Sword and a Pewter Acorn - she stole both. Upon stealing the “artifact” the ghost of a rat king awoke, instantly draining the life essence of two of the squirrel’s three hirelings. The remaining hireling and the squirrel fled. The Rat King Ghost descended into the dark depth of a Runoff culvert and Rat zombies arose from the grave. Three days ago the Rat Zombies overran the nearby Watchtower, sending the small garrison into hiding as refugees. What the squirrel didn’t know was that the pewter acorn was a magical seal keeping the ghost suppressed and only upon its return will the plague cease.

Players must explore the surrounding wood to unravel the mystery and save the day.
