Dire Cay

beware of currents and tides that sway, off the shore of the splendid array. the temple stands for those who survey, tread wearily if on that dire cay.

DIRE CAY is a bastardized conversion of the classic dragon game module The Isle of Dread. A module loved by those who first played that dungeon and dice game, known for its iconic island hexcrawl - well, now it gets a fresh overhaul for the exciting and deadly adventure game by Micah Anderson - bastards.

Known for its introductionarry and overland travel style, X1 saw, and continues to see, much play throughout the years - and you can play it for yourself with a new school style of play!

Sail the treacherous shores that surround this deady island. Parlay or engage ruthless pirates. Establish trade with local villages. Wander beyond the wall and encounter dinosaurs and various other monsters from yesteryear. Summit the ancient volcano and find a lake housing a hidden temple. Dungeon delve in a forgotten site and maybe even spot an alien from the stars.

This adventure uses the core rules for bastards. but is generally OSR compatible. All monsters without stat blocks use the stats found in The Bastards Book of Monsters by Micah Anderson.
