What follows is the additional rules that I, Matthew Morris, use at my home table. Whereas bastards. by Micah Anderson is, put frankly, the perfect system - I do believe there are “gaps” in the rules.
Hence, following the advice of the creator their self, “There are gaps, though few. You can fill them. I believe in you.” - I shall fill.
So Micah, you believe in me eh? Well, this is what I have done with that freedom. Here-within is a comprehensive list of the various home-rule mechanic and procedures I have synthesized from other wonderful games.
- Compiling three of my supplements: Dastard Death, MisFire, and so micah, you believe in me eh?
- Violence - combat procedures adapted from a dungeon game by Chris Bissette.
- Shields-Shall-Be-Splintered - shield rule from various OSR blogs.
- Exertion - alternate mechanics to produce success adapted from a dungeon game by Chris Bissette.
- And lastly, Scars - Electric Bastionland by Chris McDowall and Cairn by Yochai Gal.

tiny semantic style question: why style it as Bastard's and not Bastards on the cover?
because these house rules belong to bastards. In essence they are “a bastard’s house rules…”
